Aesthetic Dentistry

Unsightly, chipped or discolored teeth can greatly affect a person’s confidence. At Grace Dental Clinic, we leverage our expertise in direct and indirect restorations to give our patients the bright and confident smile they always dreamed of!

Aesthetic Dentistry
Anyone, irrespective of age, who desires to have a better-looking smile, is a candidate for aesthetic dentistry.
An aesthetic dentistry procedure can be done at any time as long as the teeth are not mobile, but it is recommended that it be done as soon as the patient notices a problem.
Depending on the extent of the break, we either use translucent, lifelike nanocomposites to build up the tooth to its original size, shape and color, or utilize the latest technology to fabricate zirconia crowns for the fractured tooth, making it indistinguishable from the original.

Braces

Forwardly placed or crooked teeth in the growing up years or adulthood is never a pleasant experience, and we are here to help! Whether the patient desires clear aligners, invisible orthodontics or regular braces, our team goes the extra mile to ensure we exceed their expectations.

Braces

Braces are used to correct crooked, rotated, gapped, crowded, or forwardly placed teeth, and malocclusion.

Braces improve the patient’s appearance, oral function and overall mouth health.

  • Traditional metal braces
  • Ceramic (or clear) braces
  • Lingual braces
  • Self-ligating braces
  • Clear aligners

As long as your periodontal health is good, you’re never too old for braces.

That said, the best time for braces is usually pre- or early teenage because the patient’s jaws and facial bones are still developing at this time. Braces for grown-ups work just as well but treatment usually takes a little longer to reach the desired outcome.

Newer materials and technology ensure that modern orthodontics is generally comfortable for the patient.

A small percentage of patients may experience mild discomfort for the first couple of days after placement of the braces, which is easily taken care of by over-the-counter painkillers.

It is necessary for all patients who undergo fixed orthodontic treatment to wear retainers for a year to ensure that the teeth remain in their new position and do not relapse into their former positions.

Teeth Whitening

In-office tooth bleaching can give you an instantly brighter smile within 60 minutes! So whether it’s an upcoming wedding, a big interview or you’d just like a brighter smile, schedule an appointment with us for a flawlessly dazzling set of pearly whites.

Teeth Whitening

Teeth can get discoloured or stained to an unsightly shade due to multiple factors.

  • Smoking
  • Consuming strongly colored beverages like tea, coffee and red wine over a prolonged period can cause staining of teeth.
  • Teeth also get darker naturally with age.
In these cases, in-office tooth whitening works wonders - in less than an hour, you can transform your smile into a sparkling one that’s going to turn heads!

In-office bleaching is achieved by placing a special gel in contact with the teeth surfaces to be whitened for a specific length of time.

The gel contains carbamide peroxide or hydrogen peroxide, with added fluoride and potassium nitrate to ensure zero sensitivity during treatment.

Professionally whitened teeth will be multiple shades brighter after the treatment.

We ensure that the degree of tooth whitening matches the patient’s skin tone and color so that the final outcome looks bright and natural.

Root Canal Treatment

Horror stories around root canals are now a thing of the past! Our experienced and considerate endodontist team makes sure root canal treatments are quick, painless and long-lasting, and that our patients are comfortable all through the duration of the treatment and beyond.

Root Canal Treatment
The centre of each tooth contains a nerve system which enables the tooth to perform its function seamlessly.
When this nerve is irreversibly damaged due to decay or tooth trauma, it becomes necessary to remove the nerve from within the tooth.
The process of removing the damaged nerve and sealing the ensuing space with a non-reactive material is called root canal treatment.
Anyone whose tooth nerve has been irreparably damaged either by decay or trauma and wishes to save the tooth requires root canal treatment.
With advanced techniques, more than 90% of cases can now be done in a single sitting, which on average, lasts about an hour.
Extensively damaged teeth or technically demanding cases may require two or more sittings.
Not any more! With modern techniques and equipment, root canal treatment is a relatively quick and painless procedure with predictable positive outcomes.
With proper after-care and regular checkups, root canal treated teeth provide many years of trouble-free service, just like your original teeth!

Teeth Replacement

Patients who come to us with missing teeth are offered a plethora of replacement options to choose from. They can opt for implants, crowns and bridges or cast partial dentures to replace their missing teeth and restore form and function back to 100%.

Teeth Replacement
Simply put, a dental implant is a titanium screw that is surgically placed in the jawbone to take the place of the root of a missing tooth. Once osseointegration (the process by which bone unites with the implant surface) takes place, a prosthetic tooth is attached onto the implant to mimic the original tooth in form and functionality.
A dental crown covers the whole tooth and is recommended when there is extensive damage to an existing natural tooth. The dental crown is most often made of porcelain or zirconia and is permanently cemented over the natural tooth to restore its appearance and function.
A Cast partial denture is a removable partial denture consisting of a cast metal framework that contains artificial teeth set in acrylic resin. It is stronger, more comfortable and more retentive than a conventional acrylic-only partial denture.

Digital Scans

Instead of regular dental impressions, we use the latest, cutting edge digital scanning technology to provide our patients with the perfect fit of crowns, bridges and implants. No more mouthful of impression material, discomfort or gagging.

Digital Scans
A Digital scan is a dental impression taken with 3D scanning technology.

A digital dental scan is more accurate than a regular dental impression.

It is also a lot more comfortable for the patient.

Additionally, it allows for a precise, faster and more comfortable workflow.

Since digital scans are made with visible light radiation and not X-ray radiation, there is no harmful radiation or risk to the human body.
No! At Grace Dental Clinic, intraoral scanning costs nothing extra.

Gum Treatment

Healthy gums are the foundation of good oral health, and a healthy mouth goes a long way in ensuring robust general health. With this aim in mind, we offer our patients a wide range of periodontal treatments designed to restore optimum oral well-being.

Gum Treatment

Gum disease is an infectious disease in the mouth mainly caused by bacteria.

Plaque, which is the grainy substance you feel on your teeth in the morning before brushing, is the main culprit for gum disease.

Plaque is essentially a collection of bacteria adhering to the teeth, which if not removed systematically gives rise to multiple oral problems.

Gum, or periodontal, treatment encompasses a wide range of treatment for gums that are inflamed, infected, or in some way unhealthy.

The extent of gum treatment depends on the severity of gum damage.

Treatments range from subgingival scaling and root planing to flap surgeries and guided tissue regeneration.

Timely periodontal intervention ensures that gum disease is caught in time and addressed, thereby allowing the teeth to remain firmly anchored in bone, which in turn enables patients to enjoy lifelong good oral health.

On the contrary, regular professional cleaning goes a long way in making sure patients have their teeth and gums in good shape even into old age.

Since plaque buildup is painless, patients often ignore -or are unaware of- it until they develop symptoms like bleeding gums, sensitivity, teeth that are mobile or have started to develop gaps between them.

Once gum disease has reached the symptomatic stage, generally more extensive treatment is required.

Oral Surgery

A major reason for people putting off dental visits is the fear of pain, especially of dental injections and tooth removal. Our knowledgeable and skilful surgeons ensure that our patients are comfortable all through the treatment. Our emphasis on post-operative care makes sure the recovery is smooth and stress-free.

Oral Surgery
Not true. While a certain degree of discomfort could be associated with some cases of third molar removal, almost all wisdom teeth are removed without any actual pain to the patient.
No. Wisdom teeth, like the appendix, are vestigial organs and do not need to be replaced after removal.

Since wisdom teeth are the last to come into the mouth, often there isn’t sufficient space left for them to erupt in a straight line.

Think of five people trying to fit on a bench designed for four.

When wisdom teeth are malposed, it is best to have them removed.

Crookedly positioned wisdom teeth tend to decay much quicker than other teeth and if the wisdom tooth is not extracted in time, food lodgement between the 3rd molar and the 2nd molar puts the second molar at risk of decay too.

Like any other teeth, untreated decayed third molars will lead to pain (inflammation) and swelling (infection).

Additionally, malposed wisdom teeth can sometimes cause the front teeth to start overlapping each other.

Preventive Dentistry

Preventing tooth decay and gum disease is easier, quicker and less expensive than treatment. Our holistic preventive regimen includes flouride treatments, dental sealants and diet counselling.

Getting your teeth examined and cleaned regularly will go a long way in ensuring your teeth stay healthy for years to come.

Preventive Dentistry

Dental sealants are a thin layer of composite resin that are placed on the occlusal surfaces of healthy permanent molars in growing children.

This creates an impermeable barrier preventing bacteria from causing decay in these teeth.

Fluoride is a natural mineral that builds strong teeth and prevents cavities.

Its anti-caries property works by making the tooth more resistant to tooth decay.

It can also inhibit the growth of harmful oral bacteria and further prevent cavities.

Fluoride benefits both children and adults. The earlier children are exposed to fluoride, the less likely they are to develop cavities.

We cannot emphasize enough how important regular dental check-ups are to your dental health!

Scheduled check-ups will enable us to spot dental problems as they arise and we can nip them in the bud, thereby saving you from extensive, expensive and time-consuming treatment.

We recommend a professional dental check-up every four months.
